That spotlight shining over the skyline is the moon. That tiny little fleck to the left, a plane. Possibly taking off from Laguardia, on this unusually warm December evening.

Revisiting and working on a piece I began last spring. Studio building is quiet but I know other artists are here, perhaps like me they are taking advantage of some down time over the holiday break. Will be great to put some ideas down on paper, so to speak. In my case, it will be taking a pair of scissors to sheets of acetate . . .

Working on a new series of cutouts in the studio, listening to WNYC and making a mental list of everything we need to do before christmas.

Cut-outs on fabric and collaborating with a fashion designer

Last month my artwork was chosen to be printed on fabric as part of a collaboration with fellow Chashama artist and fashion designer, Babatunde Ajiboye. He is hard at work creating a new line of couture!! for @chashama 's 6/10 Gala. Here's an image in Babatunde's studio of the fabric that just arrived from the printer :
