Late night stroll through the polar vortex. It's coming down swirly and cold.

Gina Fuentes Walker: Gina Fuentes Walker creates photo based installations in her studio, using available light and translucent materials such as glass, Plexiglas and color transparencies. Images of trees and landscapes are printed on acetate, layered or cut-out as silhouettes to produce both large and small scale works that are mounted along walls and surfaces. Light filters through these translucent materials to create another layer or image that resembles abstract patterns and silhouettes of the natural world. Her work includes site-specific photo based and video installations in the U.S. and Germany. A collaboration with clothing designer Babatunde Ajiboye resulted in the printing of a series of cut-outs onto fabric for a commission of men and women's wear for the 2013 Chashama Gala in New York.
